Annapurna base camp trek via Poon Hill is a spectacular trek of Nepal. The trek turns out to be more spectacular via Poonhill.

Annapurna Base Camp Trek is goes through local villages viewing snow covered peaks. The trail via Poonhill passes through Birethanti, Ghorepani which reaches a Gurung village called Chhomrong.

The sunrise at Poonhill gives an amazing view of the Himalayan Ranges including Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Range with Machhapuchhare and Manaslu.The immensely beautiful valley through natural forests of oak, red rhododendron and pine lush forest to Ghorepani and a pre-dawn walk up the Poon Hill offering a 360° view of the mountains is worth a lifetime experience.

Various kinds of birds and animals including some rare animals like snow leopard, musk deer etc. can be seen while the trek as the region is a conserved area by ACAP. The journey is perfect for the adventure seekers and the one who loves exploring nature.The best season for trekking is from March to May and September to December.

Itineraries

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

After your arrival in Tribhuvan International Airport, our representatives will receive you and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu to Pokhara

Early in the morning, after breakfast we leave Kathmandu and drive to Pokhara through Prithivi Highway. On the way, we can enjoy the overwhelming view of rocky hills along the river by side. Arrive Pokhara and Check in Hotel.

Day 03: Drive to Nayapul and trek to Tikhe Dhunga(1495m.)

After breakfast in Pokhara we will drive for an hour to Naya Pul. Our trekking starts here. We start walking for 3-4 hours to reach Tikhe Dhunga. The trail is not much difficult though we have to climb. A lot of picturesque views are throughout the journey. We will stay in Tikhe Dhunga in a guest house.

Day 04: Tikhedunga to Ghorepani Trek (2860m.)- 6 hrs.

Today our trekking trail is slightly ascending uphill to Ghorepani. The astonishing view of high snowcapped Himalayas and stunning landscape will give soothing experience while following the trail. Occasionally, we may also see Lonmgur (long tail black mouth Monkey) which keeps jumping in the trees. We will pass through some remote settlements and terraced fields. We will stay in a lodge at Ghorepani.

Day 05: Ghorepani to Tadapani Trek (2520m.) 6-7 hrs.

On this day, we will trek for more than 6 hours to reach our destination Tadapani. We pass through a dense beautiful forest and continue our journey through nature along the river side. We can hike to Poonhill to get the better photographic scenes of natural stunning landscape. The majestic mountains are seen glowing in the rays of sun while we walk through the route to Tadapani. The streams have few clear pools alongside the trail which finally ascends up to the final destination Tadapani which means ‘hot water.’ This is the main water supply for a village far away. We stay overnight in a lodge in Tadapani.

Day 06: Tadapani to Sinuwa Trek (2120m.)

Today, we start our trail descending to iconic Kemrung Stream. After crossing the splendid dense forest of red rhododendron, we will walk towards Chhomrong across a remote Gurung village. Chhomrong warmly offers us the best close-up view of Mt. Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Mt. Annapurna, Virgin Peak and Hiunchuli.  Stay  in a lodge overnight.

Day 07: Sinuwa to Himalaya Hotel Trek (2850m.)- 6 hrs.

This day the trekking trail follows through roaring Chhomrong River and ascends for some more elevation. On the route, we will cross through beautiful rhododendron forest and reach Dovan. The picturesque view of the natural beauty and stunning landscape follows us throughout the trek. Remaining afternoon and the evening, we will have time to wander around Dovan and explore the region. Overnight at Lodge. 

Day 08: Himalaya Hotel to MBC Trek (3700m.)

Today the trekking trail leads us to Machhapuchhre Base Camp. The route is soothing with the views of the photographic scene of the stunning landscape and majestic snowcapped mountains. It takes about 6 hours walk to reach the destination. Stay overnight at lodge in MBC.

Day 09: MBC to Annapurna Base Camp trek (4130m.)

After hot breakfast in MBC, the trekking trail heads to Annapurna Base Camp. The area is also known as Annapurna Sanctuary which is covered with lofty high mountains. The area gives breathtaking views of Annapurna I, Annapurna South and Barah Shikhar. Overnight at Lodge.

Day 10: Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo Trek (2300m.)

This day we retrieve back from Annapurna Base camp and head to Bamboo. Annapurna South and high Himalayan peaks tries to pull us back to base camp where we were heavenly intoxicated with the beauty of nature. Soothing walk through beautiful dense forests and passing some remote villages will provide us chances to explore the area. We stay overnight in a guest house.

Day 11: Bamboo to Jhinu Danda Trek (1780m.)

On this day, we start trekking to reach Jhinu Danda. The trail descends from Jhinu Danda with the pleasant walk while we can enjoy the scenic beauty throughout the route. After we reach at Jhinu Dada, we can explore the surrounding area. The stunning panoramic views are much impressive from the hill. Especially the sunset views are lovely and one mesmerizing sight to see. We stay overnight in a guest house.

Day 12: Jhinu Danda to Nayapul and drive to Pokhara

Today is the last day we trek through the beautiful nature. We trek back to Nayapul from Jhinu Danda and end our ABC trek there. We drive back to Pokhara and where we can explore the beauty of it like lakeside, stupa, caves, etc. We can also climb to Sarangkot hill which is well famous for adventurous paragliding sport in Nepal. Today, we will explore Pokhara City. Overnight  stay in a hotel.

Day13: Drive back to Kathmandu

After having breakfast in early mornig, we drive back to Kathmandu. You will be transferred to the hotel where you can have leisure time and may have time to catch the last moments exploring the missed sights of the valley. You can also do shopping and buy gifts for your nearest ones. In the evening, you can explore nightlife of Thamel.

Day 14: Departure Day

The last day of the journey, we bid goodbye to you. Before 3 hours of scheduled flight, our representatives will take you to the airport.

How to Book

  • 40% deposit should be paid at the time of booking
  • All participant passport copies should be sent in advance
  • The trip booking is accepted and becomes definite only from the date when the Company sends a confirmation invoice or email. It is at this point that a contract between the Company and the Client comes into existence.

Cancellation

  • Any cancellation by a Client must be made in writing and acknowledged by the Company
  • Free cancellation up to 30 days prior departure, after which the deposit becomes non-refundable.
