The Hindu Pilgrimage Tour tour takes you to two of the holiest sites in the country; the Pashupatinath Temple,  Manakamana Temple and the Janaki Temple.

The Manakamana Temple is dedicated to goddess Manakamana, Hindus believe believe that visiting and worshiping this temple fulfils their wishes. Legend has it, that the king of Gorkha was once blessed by goddess Manakamana after which he was able to gain victory over several small kingdoms and weave them into a single kingdom Gorkha. Manakamana temple can be visited on cable car which is known to be the first cable car ever operated in Nepal.

Janakpur is historically and religiously very significant, thus, it is home to some of the holiest Hindu sites like the famous Janaki Mandir and Ram Mandir. It is where Lord Sita was born, and also where Ram and Sita got married. Moreover, it is also the capital of the ancient Hindu kingdom of Mithila. We will be visiting all these important places today.

Itineraries

Day 01 Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m)

Once you land at the Tribhuwan International Airport, our representative will pick you and drop you off at the hotel. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 02 Kathmandu: sightseeing

Today we will go on sightseeing tour of some of the most famous attractions that are even included in the list of World Heritage Sites. We visit the Kathmandu Durbar Square, the holy Pashupatinath Temple, and the Budhanilkantha temple. All three landmarks fall in the list of UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 03: Drive to Pokhara via Manakamana Temple

We head out early for a 6-7 hour’s drive to Pokhara. While on the journey we will stop to take a cable car ride to the holy temple of Manakamana situated a hilltop. After our visit of the temple, we head straight to Pokhara. Overnight at hotel.

Day 04: Pokhara: Sightseeing

Today we visit many famous temples in Pokhara like the Barahi Temple, Bindyabashini Temple, and the Gupteshwor Mahadev. We will also go for a relaxing boat ride on the great Fewa Lake enjoying magnificent views of Annapurna range. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 05: Drive to Janakpur

Today we head on 8-9 hour’s drive to Janakpur which lies on the Terai belt of near the border of India. Overnight in hotel.

Day 06: Janakpur: Sightseeing

Day 07: Drive to Kathmandu

With breakfast done we head for a long drive back to Kathmandu. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 08: Final departure

It’s time to bid farewell! Our representative will escort you to the airport three hours before the scheduled flight.

How to Book

  • The trip can be booked online using book now tab
  • 40% deposit should be paid at the time of booking
  • All participant passport copies should be sent in advance
  • The trip booking is accepted and becomes definite only from the date when the Company sends a confirmation invoice or email. It is at this point that a contract between the Company and the Client comes into existence.

Cancellation

  • Any cancellation by a Client must be made in writing and acknowledged by the Company
  • Free cancellation up to 30 days prior departure, after which the deposit becomes non-refundable.
