The Kailash Mansarwovar Yatra is an excellent journey to Mt. Kailash especially for those that don’t much time or energy in their hands. The trip starts from Kathmandu from where we fly to Nepalgunj and then to Simikot. From there we go on Heli ride to Hilsa and then drive to Taklakot. We also have set aside one day to rest for acclimatization. We will be in Mansarovar in just under 4 days!
Kailash and Mansarovar are some of the holiest sites for Hindus and Buddhists. Once you land at the Tribhuwan International Airport, our representative will pick you and drop you off at the hotel. Overnight in Kathmandu.
After the breakfast, you will be taken on a guided tour to the most spiritual and popular attractions in Kathmandu. Some of these attractions are even included in the list of World Heritage Sites. Such as Pashupatinath,and one of the largest stupas in the world-Bouddhanath. You will catch an afternoon flight to Nepalgunj. Overnight in Nepalgunj.
We take a flight to Simikot, from where will hop on a helicopter ride to Hilsa. From there we will drive to Taklakot.Overnight in Taklakot.
With great heights come great risks, thus we will need to keep one day just to acclimatize. For this purpose we will explore Taklakot or just rest.
After a while into our journey we start seeing first glimpses of the holy, Mt. Kailash and Lake Mansarovar. Once at Mansarovar, you can take a holy dip, perform puja, relax and explore the Mansarovar area. Overnight in Mansarovar.
We start early to visit the Raksas Lake and complete the sacred rituals of morning bath and puja at Lake Mansarover. After that done we gear up for the Mansarovar Parikrama with a drive to the base camp for Kailash Parikrama at Tarchen. Overnight in Tarchen.
From Tarhchen we take a few hour’s drive to Tarboche, where our Kailash Parikrama begins. The trail is gorgeous and rewarding. We gradually walk along the beautiful rocky cliffs; waterfalls and breathtaking sights of the Kailash Parbat.
Today we climb the Drolma-la (Dolma-La 18600 ft) and then descent slowly to Zuthulpuk (4760m), also known as the cave of miracles, where legend has it the great Milarepa is supposed to have performed miracles. While on our way to the pass we first cross Yamasthal and then Shivasthal. The top of the pass offers spiritual richness, peace and magnificent views. After making your holiest offerings on the top we head down to Zuthulpuk passing by Parvatisthal and Gauri Kunda. Overnight at Zuthulpuk.
We drive to Tarchen and wait for other members. From there we drive to Simikot via Taklakot. Overnight in Simikot.
We start for an early flight to Nepalgunj from where we will catch connecting flight to Kathmandu. The Farewell dinner will be in Kathmandu.
