Buddhists consider the cave holy as well. According to legend, Guru Padmasambhava, the second Buddha meditated here for three months. There are three caves on the hilltop that represent three eyes of Lord Shiva. Many people from the Hindu and Buddhists community come to this place during Shivaratri, Ram Navami, and Ganesh Chaturthi. The five different doors, namely GhopteDwar, JanmaDwar, Pap Dwar, Dharma Dwar, and Swarga Dwar are major attractions of the cave.

We head out early morning for an 8 hours’ drive through a scenic road. The journey is filled with many tiny beautiful small villages, terrace fields, green hills and more. Overnight at Halesi.
We start early, firstly for Halesi Mahadev Temple Darshan and then Halesi Cave and also explore the surroundings for other interesting places. We then head back for breakfast and then drive back to Kathmandu.
