Overview
Tilicho Lake Trek is a fantastic journey along the famous Annapurna region to one of the highest lakes in the world. The trail passes through diverse elevations, and has climates ranging from semi-tropical to desert, and with the landscapes varying from sub-tropical to alpine forests to snowy barren, and the stunning rocky Thorongla mountain pass with an altitude of 5416 meters. The trip begins in Kathmandu with visits to several cultural heritage sites. Next, drive to Besishahar then to Manang and begin the trek from Dharapani.
You will be passing through numerous suspensions bridges, monasteries, villages, ever changing landscapes, and the ancient peoples.The trek takes you through Tibetan-like Buddhist villages, and woodlands, through the Marshyangdi Valley. Further, it also offers spectacular views of Annapurna Massif, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, and Tilicho Peak. The trail also takes you to Mustang and the Hindu pilgrimage town of Muktinath.
