Overview


The Nepal Bhutan Tour is a culturally rich tour that combines two of the most beautiful South-Asian countries.

The trip starts in Kathmandu, where we visit several UNESCO World Heritage Sites like Pashupatinath,the renowned 'Monkey Temple' (Swayambhunath), and one of the largest stupas in the world-Bouddhanath. We then drive to Nagarkot, a village renowned for its sunrise and sunset views over the Himalayas. We also visit Pokhara, also known as backpacker’s paradise where we go on a boat ride in the famous lake enjoying views of the Annapurna Range. We also head start early to catch the sun rising under and above the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges at Sarangot which is famous for magnificent view of the sun rising over the great Himalayas.After Nepal, we fly to Paro, Bhutan. In Bhutan, we visit several dzongs (fortresses), temples, and other cultural and historical landmarks. We also pass through the high Dochu La pass and hike to the enchanting Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest) Monastery. However, our Nepal and Bhutan Tour does not end here. There’s a lot more in store!

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m)

Once you land at the Tribhuwan International Airport, our representative will pick you and drop you off at the hotel. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Kathmandu: sightseeing

Today we will go on sightseeing tour of some of the most famous attractions that are even included in the list of World Heritage Sites. Witness the brilliant BhaktapurDurbar Square, the holy Hindu temple of Pashupatinath,the renowned 'Monkey Temple' (Swayambhunath), and one of the largest stupas in the world-Bouddhanath. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 3: Sightseeing in Bhaktapur and drive to Nagarkot

Nagarkot is a famous tourist site with spectacular views of the stunning Himalayas. On our way to Nagarkot, we also visit the ancient Bhaktapur Durbar Square which falls in the list of UNESCO’s world heritage sites. It hosts some of best examples of ancient Newari architecture.Overnight at hotel.

Day 4: Drive back to Kathmandu Airport & fly to Pokhara.

After a nightin Nagarkot we head to Kathmandu for our flight to Pokhara. At Pokhara, we’ll take on a on the great Fewa Lake enjoying marvelous views of the Annapurna Range reflecting on the lake. Overnight at hotel.

Day 5: Pokhara: Sightseeing

We head start early to catch the sun rising under and above the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges at Sarangot which is famous for magnificent view of the sun rising over the great Himalayas. After Sarangkot, we visit some other famous sites in Pokhara. Overnight at hotel.

Day 6: Fly back to Kathmandu

We take an early morning flight to Kathmandu whereyou can enjoy the rest of the day relaxing at around Thamel or just preparing for the trip to Bhutan. Overnight at hotel.

Day 07:Fly to Bhutan, Drive to Thimpu

With breakfast done we catch a flight to the Paro airport in Bhutan. On reaching Bhutan we take a 2 hours’ drive to Thimpu. We will check out the Simtokha Dzong on the way which is a small dzong, built in 1629 by ZhabdrungNgawangNamgyal, who unified Bhutan. Overnight at Thimpu.

Day 08:Thimpu: sightseeing / Drive from Thimpu to Punakha, 77km, 3hours

Today there will be a fully guided sightseeing tour of Thimpu including visits to Memorial Chorten of the Late King Jigme Dorjee Wangchuk in the heart of Thimpu town and then the famous monastery- The Tashichho dzong, also known as ‘The fortress of the auspicious Religion’ and Buddha Park. Enroute we visit the spectacular Dochula pass at 3100meters to the beautiful valley of Punakha and then the old capital of Bhutan- the historic Punakha Dzong. Overnight at Punakha.

Day 09:Drive from Punakha to Paro

After reaching Paro, we will visit the most famous tourist sites in Paro- the National Museum, Satsam Chorten Monastery and  Paro  Dzong. Overnight at Paro.

Day 10: Hike to Tiger’s Nest and back to Paro

We start early for a hike toParo Taktsang or the Tiger’s Nest which is a significant Buddhist sacred site in Bhutan. It is located on a cliff side on the upper Paro valley. After the visit, we will head back to the hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 11:Fly from Paro to Kathmandu

We catch an early morning flight to Kathmandu. On reaching Kathmandu, our representative will pick up some more sightseeing. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 12: Final departure

It’s time to bid farewell, but we hope we’ll meet again! Our representative will escort you to the airport three hours before the scheduled flight.
